In this graduate thesis are described a didactic and multimedia equipment Lucas Nuelle, which is used in laboratory for the purpose of doing practice in the field of energy electronics. Equipment of the manufacturer Lucas Nuelle is made of UniTrain-I interface with the belonging experimenters, a set of experimental cards and a LabSoft computer program. In the LabSoft computer program it is explained how to produce wave shaped current and voltage of the DC converter. After described equipment, the analysis of DC converter and buck converter is described. The buck converter can operate in two modes: continuous and discontinuous. A buck converter operates in continuous mode if the current through the inductor never falls to zero during the period. If the current through the inductor falls zo zero during the period, the buck converter operates in discontinuous mode. In which mode buck convertor will operate depends of the relation between time constant and switching period. In the first part of the exercise the MOSFET was in the high side of the scheme. The waveforms of current consumer and voltage consumer are shown through the time diagram, the waveforms of voltage inductor and waveform of voltage resistor are shown through osciloscope. The waveforms of voltage through MOSFETs are shown by digital osciloscope. The exercise was repeated in the second part when MOSFET was in the low side of the scheme.
