Popis: Djeca s teškoćama u razvoju predstavljaju posebnu skupinu djece u odgojno-obrazovnim ustanovama. Children with disabilities represent a special group of children in educational institutions. Such children may be partially or fully involved in the work of regular educational institutions, or they may be included in special educational institutions. Numerous professionals such as pedagogues, psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and educators work with children with disabilities. An educator working with a child with disabilities should possess a wealth of knowledge and skills, be empathetic, patient and conscientious. One of the many techniques used in working with children with disabilities is certainly music. Music is an indispensable tool in working with children with disabilities, as it is a form of non-verbal communication and thus provides adults with insight into the world of the child. Music, i.e. musical activities that are carried out in work with children with disabilities are numerous, and some of them are singing, rhymes and playing. When it comes to the methods used in musical activities in children with disabilities, it is important to mention improvisation, musical creativity and the Orff method.
