Knowledge of cultural heritage has fallen on low level since now is the era of technology and modern things. Nations cherish their cultural heritage and they differ according to cultural heritage. By transferring knowledge of national history and national customs to the next generations, we ensure preservation and promotion of cultural heritage and we make conditions for transferring cultural heritage to younger generations. Teachers have a big part in educating and nurturing of the students, so they have the possibility to transfer cultural heritage and national customs to them also. In this paper, we have first explained the terms of cultural heritage and then we have exposed the curriculum of the teaching Music culture and teaching units where the subjects are related to the cultural heritage. We have conducted a survey in which participated students of the fifth year on the Faculty of education in Osijek and Slavonski Brod. The goal of the survey was to examine the opinion of future teachers on the promotion of cultural heritage in teaching Music culture.VI Although future teachers think they are not enough prepared and not expert enough to promote cultural heritage, the conclusion of the survey was that they are willing to spend time to learn more about that and, with help of other experts, actively promote cultural heritage in teaching Music culture and in teaching generally.
