La migración de venezolanos en los últimos cinco años hacia territorio colombiano representa un fenómeno sin precedentes. Hoy muchas instituciones educativas colombianas cuentan en las aulas con escolares migrantes venezolanos que se enfrentan a una nueva cultura y desafíos que pueden influir en su rendimiento académico, de ahí que este trabajo establece como objetivo general: caracterizar el comportamiento del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes migrantes venezolanos en la asignatura Lengua Castellana de segundo de primaria en la Institución Educativa Camilo Daza. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa de series de caso en el período comprendido de abril a julio de 2022, con una muestra de 13 estudiantes. Se utilizaron métodos como la revisión documental, observación, encuesta, entrevista y resultados evaluativos en la asignatura Lengua Castellana que permitieron recoger información sobre el tema que se investiga. Resultados: los factores sociales, familiares, educativos, económicos e individuales interactúan entre sí e influyen en el rendimiento académico y es un elemento individual y variable que establece una relación fundamental con el aprendizaje y la evaluación. Se concluyó que existen factores influyentes en el rendimiento académico de algunos estudiantes que tienen una repercusión directa en su aprendizaje y en su desarrollo progresivo, sin embargo, en otros, el factor individual prevalece como crecimiento personal y en esos casos los estudiantes obtienen resultados de aprendizaje alto o superior. La mayoría de los estudiantes de la muestra de estudio alcanzaron un rendimiento académico progresivo en el periodo que se investigó y muy pocos se mantuvieron en la misma valoración.
