El presente trabajo parte del análisis de la migración del último siglo hacia Villavicencio (Meta) y la forma en la cual este fenómeno impacta sobre la configuración territorial y el desarrollo de la ciudad. Este trabajo se desarrolla en tres partes: en primer lugar, una descripción del contexto histórico y el crecimiento de Villavicencio, en este apartado se despliega la tríada conceptual en la que se basa el trabajo: migración - espacio urbano- configuración territorial. En segundo lugar, un análisis sobre la integración a la ciudad/derecho a la ciudad a partir del estudio de los Planes de Ordenamiento Territorial (POT) en contraposición con la realidad de Villavicencio actualmente. Posteriormente se visibiliza la integración al territorio por parte de los migrantes a partir de historias de vida y cartografías de los habitantes. Con el fin de visibilizar nuevas formas de percibir la ciudad y desde allí entender las formas del desarrollo urbano. The present work starts with a migration analysis in last century towards Villavicencio and the process from which this phenomenon impacts the territorial configuration and the development of the city. This work is developed in three sections: First, an historic context description and development of Villavicencio where we show a conceptual triad on which the labour bases: migration, urban space, territorial configuration. Secondly, an analysis of the integration into the city/entitlement to the city based on the study of Land Management Plans (LMP) in contrast to the current reality of Villavicencio. Finally, we expose the integration to the territory by the migrants from life stories and cartographies of the habitants, to show new ways of perceiving the city and from there the understanding of the forms of urban development.
