El presente documento tiene como finalidad describir las actividades realizadas para obtener el título de ingeniería civil otorgado por la universidad Santo Tomas seccional Tunja como pasante en la empresa de acueducto, alcantarillado y aseo de Yopal E.I.C.E. - E.S.P. Debido a la pandemia generada por el COVI-19, se realizó de manera virtual, es decir desde casa, sin impedir la ejecución de los trabajos asignados por el tutor de la entidad profesional. La oficina de agua no contabilizada, contribuye al cumplimiento del plan de reducción de pérdidas de agua, por lo cual en el lapso de tiempo de la pasantía se realizaron varias investigaciones, alguna de ellas relacionadas con otras oficinas de la empresa. Dado que, las fugas se deben identificar para realizar su respectiva solución, se eligió el sector 7A como piloto para ejecutar dichas actividades y después ampliarlas al resto de la red de distribución. Además, se buscaron equipos de detección de fugas, macromedidores y manómetros, también, se realizaron los balances hídricos mensualmente según la metodología IWA, procedimientos para la construcción de acometidas y diseño de redes de distribución. Por otra parte, la empresa se guía por el estándar internacional de evaluación de calidad del servicio de agua y saneamiento (AquaRating) por lo tanto se hace constante monitoreo. Se concluyó que es necesaria la contabilización del agua, conocer su origen y diversas maneras de identificar, reparar y disminuir la pérdida de agua, para colaborar al medio ambiente y la comunidad. The purpose of this document is to describe the activities carried out to obtain the civil engineering degree granted by the Santo Tomas Tunja sectional university as an intern in the aqueduct, sewerage and cleaning company of Yopal E.I.C.E. - E.S.P. Due to the pandemic generated by COVI-19, it was carried out virtually, that is, from home, without preventing the execution of the work assigned by the tutor of the professional entity. The unaccounted-for water office contributes to the fulfillment of the water loss reduction plan, for which several investigations were carried out during the internship, some of them related to other offices of the company. Since leaks must be identified to carry out their respective solution, sector 7A was chosen as a pilot to carry out these activities and then expand them to the rest of the distribution network. In addition, leak detection equipment, macrometers and pressure gauges were sought, also, monthly water balances were carried out according to the IWA methodology, procedures for the construction of connections and design of distribution networks. On the other hand, the company is guided by the international standard for evaluating the quality of the water and sanitation service (AquaRating), therefore constant monitoring is carried out. It was concluded that it is necessary to account for water, know its origin and various ways of identifying, repairing and reducing water loss, in order to collaborate with the environment and the community.
