Popis: This article is about some study results on the selected assumptions of Edwin E. Gordon’s Theory of Music Learning in relation to early music education. An emphasis is placed on the need for the analysis of child audiation development with its social importance, with reference to specific situations from education natural environment such as home and family. Family members experience and social relations which are shaped in parents playing music with their children show family genuine music potential. In the end – according to E.E. Gordon – the fore-mentioned factors have very much in common with the quality of music inculturation as “initial” type of audiation development. The specific character of numerous attributes of family joint audiation makes it crucial to express such terms as: initial audiation, social relations, audiation gaze as a form of joint music attention, internal sound sense and its time and shaping inter-subjective music communication code which is music language. The article is an attempt to answer the question of the possibility of placing and explaining audiation meaning as a key category in Gordon’s Theory of Music Learning – in a wide context of social, human, culture and linguistics sciences.
