Rasprostranjenošću društvenih mreža i lakom pristupu internetu u današnje vrijeme, mlađa populacija stvara i razmjenjuje konkretnu, snažnu, afirmativnu i pozitivnu percepciju o mentalnom zdravlju i važnosti očuvanja istog. Obsessive compulsive disorder is a mental disorder, belonging in the group of anxiety disorders, in which a person experiences repetitive thoughts followed by a behavioral response. Obsessions are urges and repeated thoughts that cause anxiety. Compulsions are repetitive behaviors that a person with obsessive compulsive disorder feels compelled to do in response to an obsessive thought. The exact cause of obsessive compulsive disorder is unknown, but it is likely that several factors influence its occurrence. Recent studies have confirmed that OCD has a prevalence of 2-3%, although the figures vary from region to region, and the figures are not definitive as many sufferers hesitate to seek help due to shame and still present, discrimination against people with mental illness. These facts were the impetus for conducting research in which attitudes towards people suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder are examined. 150 participants took part in the research, and it was conducted with the help of the online questionnaire 'Attitudes of the general population towards people suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder'. The results indicate that attitudes are positive, especially among the younger population. With the spread of social networks and easy access to the Internet nowadays, the younger population creates and exchanges concrete, strong, affirmative and positive perceptions about mental health and the importance of preserving it.
