The trends in development of pumps are aimed in achieving higher rotation speeds and pressures with a smaller pump volume. COR TMC is a type of BLDC driven gear pump that is gaining ground in the market for use in a variety of different applications. The thesis describes development of a LabVIEW program for controlling rotation speed and direction of the pump via LIN communication protocol. Theoretical part of the thesis presents characteristics of gear pumps, operation of BLDC motor and theoretical basis of LIN communication which was used to communicate between National Instruments hardware and Infineon TLE-9879 microcontroller, which controls the selected pump with 3-phase bridge circuit. With the help of the XNET software package in the LabVIEW environment, a program was created that allows user to control the pump and record parameters of its operation. Development, operation and testing of the program are presented in the second part of the assignment. In the future the program will be used for the purpose of building a test site for testing and validating pumps. |
