Magistrsko delo z raziskovalnega vidika osvetljuje izkušnjo učenja jezika med bivanjem v Južni Koreji leta 2017. Južna Koreja tujcem ponuja številne priložnosti učenja jezika. Najpogostejši ponudniki so univerze, v okviru katerih potekajo neformalna izobraževanja v obliki jezikovnih tečajev. This thesis focuses on the language learning experience during my 2017 stay in South Korea from the research perspective. South Korea offers many language learning opportunities for foreigners. The most common language learning providers are universities that provide non-formal education in form of language courses. The language courses are run by academics specialised in the education of foreigners. The institution where the research took place was Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Yongin. This university offers language courses as a part of the Center for Korean Language and Culture. The language learning process has taken place not only in the context of non-formal education but also in informal learning, namely self-directed learning, incidental learning, socialisation, and integrative learning. The constant interaction of non-formal and informal education has led to progress in many fields of the use of language, especially in the field of oral communication. A significant benefit to successfully learn the language was the hospitality of the local people who welcomed us warmly. The experience of my stay in South Korea has had a positive impact on the development of language skills and also on the development of socio-emotional competencies. |
