Osnovna težava, s katero se soočamo pri izdelavi projektov, je kje in kako začeti. Enako je, ko gre za projekt izdelave videoigre. Pogosto nimamo občutka niti znanja, kaj vse je potrebno, da projekt normalno steče in imamo zgolj svojo idejo. Ko pa tak projekt postane del študijskega procesa, kaj storiti? V diplomskem delu podrobneje pregledamo področje videoiger znotraj računalništva. Ugotovimo, kaj se na tem področju dogaja, s kakšnimi težavami se soočamo, kako so videoigre predstavljene in katere so že obstoječe rešitve, ki nam pomagajo razumeti, snovati in začeti z izdelavo videoigre. Na kratko predstavimo težavo, s katero se srečujejo študentje 1. stopnje univerzitetnega študija računalništva in informatike ob začetku izdelave videoigre, nakar pričnemo s koraki za izdelavo rešitve problema. V prvem koraku predstavimo delovni načrt poenostavljenega cikla razvoja videoigre. Nadalje korektno razložimo in definiramo postopek konceptualizacije, ki spada v začetni del predprodukcije delovnega načrta in obsega delo na področju danega problema. Na podlagi postopka ustvarimo igro s kartami, ki odpravlja pomanjkanje kreativnosti ob iskanju ideje za videoigro. Izdelamo papirnate prototipe tako kart kot tudi dokumenta koncepta ideje, s katerim zajamemo bistvo pomanjkanja začetnega dokumenta koncepta v videoigrah. Na podlagi tega na koncu izdelamo še njegovo digitalno verzijo in podamo zaključek. The basic problems we face, when designing projects, is where and how to get started. It's the same, when it comes to a project about video games. Often, we do not have the sense or knowledge of what it takes to get a project right, we only have our own idea. However, when such a project becomes part of the study process, what to do? In the thesis we take a closer look at the field of video games within computer science. We start by finding out what's going on in the field of video games, what problems we face, how are they presented, and what are the existing solutions that help us understand, design, and get started with making a video game. We briefly outline the problem that 1st cycle university students of Computer and Information Science face, when starting a video game project, and continue with steps to work out a solution to the problem. In the first step, we present a work plan for a simplified video game development cycle. Furthermore, we correctly explain and define the conceptualization process, which belongs to the initial part of the pre-production of the work plan and includes work on the current problem. Based on the process, we create a card game that eliminates the lack of creativity when looking for video game ideas. We produce paper prototypes for both the card game and concept of the idea, which capture the lack of essence of an initial concept document in video games. Based on this, we also produce a digital version of it and conclude our findings. |
