Quantitative models are the foundation of transportation planning and air transport infrastructure. Specifically, at a time when the industry is focused on reducing emissions and aligning existing resources with new aircraft trends. The objective of this study is to model and analyse current and future requirements to support the industry¿s development in the next two decades. Official air traffic data is studied to define and synthesize the diversity of airports that exist in the continent¿s dynamic and complex network. This context provides a global view of the strategic planning that must be followed in different airports to address a market with as significant growth as air transport. Key concepts: airport, air infrastructure, planning, strategy, analysis, quantitative models |
