Popis: | This thesis is part of a project that aims to develop a hybrid and autonomous renewable energy system for low-income countries which cannot count on a reliable electricity supply for basic services such as lightning and water supply. This thesis aims to size and analyze the performance of a standalone hybrid renewable energy system with water and energy storage capability to provide a reliable source of clean energy and water to the local communities. The first objective is to determine the optimal number of solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries in order to minimize the cost and maximize the use of renewable energy. The second objective is to analyses the performance of the system. The simulation results are analyzed based on criteria such as the loss of power supply probability (LPSP), the relative excess of energy (REE), the level of autonomy (LA), the mean duration with loss of power (MDLP), the number of intervals with loss power (NILP) and the total time with loss of power (TTLP). |
