Metal oxide coating has emerged as a promising strategy to improve the solid electrolyte interphase by preventing or lessening dendrite growth and enhancing electrochemical stability, which are some of the phenomena hindering the use of lithium metal anodes in all-solid-state batteries. In this work, cobalt and especially titanium metal layers will be grown on both sides of the electrolyte via thermo-resistive vacuum deposition, and will later be oxidized, so that symmetric oxide-coated samples with good interlayer contact are obtained. The electrochemical characterization of lithiated samples via impedance spectroscopy measurements will study the formation of the interphase, and conclusions will be drawn regarding the improvement of the SEI stability. |
