Four erosion tests were performed on the Vlassenbroek experimental levee (Dendermonde, 9200, Belgium), more precisely on the untreated sections. The conditions and results of these 4 JET erosion tests are presented. The critical stress is quite high, consistent with soil’s nature (plastic clay); the erosion coefficient is also high, which means that the erosion rate is high. Considering these two parameters, the tested soils are erodible. |
