Popis: Google Translate (GT) is known as a very useful translating tool in this era. As an English Foreign Language Learner, writing becomes one of the language skills to be learned. The researcher wanted to observe how GT be used in writing class after the pandemic era. The study aimed to know students’ attitudes on the use of GT and it involved eight participants who had already taken an Academic Writing class and utilized GT for their writing assignments. Through interview questions and themes analysis, this study examines the use of GT on students' academic writing assignments. The findings highlight the students’ attitudes towards the benefits and downsides of using GT in academic writing. Compared with the previous study, this study showed that nowadays, many students become more dependent on the use of GT and it might happen because of the effect of online classes in the pandemic era. Educators should guide students in using GT effectively, striking a balance and emphasizing the development of independent writing skills. The findings also revealed some GT’s benefits and downsides also the frequency on how students use GT’s assistance. However, from this study, students and educators should become more aware through the use of GT in writing classes and make sure that they use GT’s help properly.
