Big Data has established itself as one of the most important technological paradigms of our time, and thanks to the consolidation of other tools developed at the same time, such as Artificial Intelligence or the deployment of 5G, it aims to revolutionize the way we live. On the other hand, the Smart City concept relies on all these tools to improve the lives of the inhabitants of the cities, which are and will be more and more during this century. In this context, the use of these technologies arouses great interest in the field of public transport. The analysis of transportation data, both static and in real time, can improve the planning and efficiency of the public transportation system, reduce waiting times, improve safety, and reduce environmental impact, offering more sustainable and desirable alternatives to the car. Under these premises, this document aims to carry out a study of data collection and processing technologies in Seville as opposed to cities that stand out in this field such as London, as well as an analysis of the service provided by the public bus company, TUSSAM.
