Popis: | Postoperative pain is a common problem in surgery. Using systemic NSAI drugs and infiltration of local anaesthesia agents that infiltrate in wounds, have been regarded for management of postoperative pain since many years. In this study tenoxicam as anNSAI drug administered 20 mg IV during surgery, and bupivacaine (0.5%) had been infiltrated around the surgical wound postoperatively. To evaluate the postoperative pain, we had used visuel analog scale (VAS) scores. The results showed that both of these drugs significantly decreased postoperative pain scores statistically according to control group. On the other hand tenoxicam reduced pain scores more than bupivacaine in long term. |
