Popis: | Aim: The aim of the clinical study was to analyze the correlation between the dental plaque scores measuredby different imaging systems.Materials and Methods: Thirty volunteers between the age of 18-30, who visited Marmara University, Facultyof Dentistry whose DMFT scores were under 4, were included in the study. Dental plaque on anterior teeth’sbuccal surfaces of the volunteers were scored using different imaging systems after staining with a disclosinggel. The patients were divided into three groups. The groups were given two different herbal toothpastes(ginger and hemp) and a conventional toothpaste. Digital photography, intraoral digital scanning (iTeroElements 2) and FluoreCam were used for taking intraoral images. The Turesky Modified Quigley Hein PlaqueIndex (TMQHPI) was used for the clinical examination and the taken images. The correlations between theclinical examination and imaging scores were analyzed before and after using the toothpastes for 21 days.Shapiro Wilk Test and Pearson’s correlation were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics V23 (IBM Co. , Armonk,USA) (p |
