The present doctoral thesis is part of research on political and social thought, its theme is the study of conservatism and its objective is to understand and interpret the main ideas of conservatism in the Amazon through two of the most relevant writers and Statesmen of the region, the historian, professor and politician Arthur Cézar Ferreira Reis (Manaus, 1906 - Rio de Janeiro, 1993) and Leandro Góes Tocantins (Belém, 1919 - Rio de Janeiro, 2004), whose books, ideas and the political performance had a great influence on destinations in the region during the 20th century.
