It has been thought and built from concerns that arise when I begin to know and understand how social and racial inequalities affect the black population since the times of colonization of the African continent. From the moment I begin my academic and professional education in education, I see myself with a fundamental role to contribute to a better quality education that reaches everyone. And may this education value and respect the different voices, worldviews, worldview; an education that needs to understand the need to maintain relationships of exchange, care and respect for nature; an education that comes with the intention of instigating critical thinking and social transformations. Law 10.639 / 2003, which amends the larger Law on Education (Law of Guidelines and Base of National Education - LDBEN-9394/96), fruit of the struggles waged in the area of Education by the Black Movement, is a legal provision aimed at quality in education from Race Relations Education and the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture, that is, for anti-racist education. What have been the real challenges and prospects for implementing this law? To discuss this initial questioning, in the first moment the research seeks to bring what Law 10,639 / 2003 tells us, along with the documents that regulate it; The second moment is devoted to talking about the construction of the idea race and racism, especially taking into account a determining aspect that is the intervention of the ruling classes, the elites and the state in the elaboration of racial-racist policies; In the following moment, some points concerning the education for race relations and for the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African history and culture, identity, diversity, racial awareness, childhood and child the behaviors / reactions and speech of children during activities with two groups of children and also a class in which I teach during the screening of ?The Boy Who Discovered the Wind?. Finally the final considerations will be made that involve thinking about Law 10.639 / 2003 this complex process that involves its implementation. A pesquisa que proponho desenvolver tem extrema rela??o com o combate ao racismo. Ela veio sendo pensada e constru?da a partir de inquieta??es que surgem quando come?o a conhecer e perceber o quanto as desigualdades sociais e raciais afetam a popula??o negra desde os tempos de coloniza??o do continente africano. A partir do momento em que come?o minha forma??o acad?mica e profissional na ?rea educacional, me vejo com um papel fundamental de contribuir para uma melhor educa??o de qualidade que atinja a todos. E que essa educa??o valorize e respeite as diferentes vozes, concep??es de mundo, cosmovis?o; uma educa??o que precisa compreender a necessidade em manter rela??es de trocas, cuidados e respeitos com a natureza; uma educa??o que venha com o intuito de instigar um pensamento cr?tico e transforma??es sociais. A Lei 10.639/2003, que altera a Lei maior da Educa??o (Lei de Diretrizes e Base da Educa??o Nacional ? LDBEN -9394/96), fruto das lutas travadas perante a ?rea da Educa??o pelo Movimento Negro, ? um dispositivo legal que visa uma qualidade na educa??o a partir da Educa??o para as Rela??es Raciais e para o Ensino da Hist?ria e Cultura Afro-brasileira e Africana, ou seja, para uma educa??o antirracista. Quais tem sido os desafios e perspectivas reais de implementa??o dessa lei? Para discorrer sobre esse questionamento inicial, no primeiro momento a pesquisa busca trazer o que nos diz a Lei 10.639/2003, junto com os documentos que a regulamenta; o segundo momento ? dedicado a falar sobre a constru??o da ideia ra?a e do racismo, principalmente levando em considera??o um aspecto determinante que ? a interven??o das classes dominantes, das elites e do Estado na elabora??o de pol?ticas raciais- racistas; no momento seguinte ser?o tratados, brevemente, alguns pontos referentes ? educa??o para as rela??es raciais e para o ensino da hist?ria e cultura afro-brasileira e africana, identidade, diversidade, consci?ncia racial, inf?ncia e crian?a e, por conseguinte, falar de uma parte mais pr?tica da pesquisa que consistiu na an?lise, atrav?s de observa??es dos comportamentos/rea??es e falas das crian?as durante a realiza??o das atividades com dois grupos de crian?as e tamb?m de uma turma em que dou aula durante a exibi??o do ?O menino que descobriu o vento?. Por ?ltimo ser? feitas as considera??es finais que envolvem pensar acerca da Lei 10.639/2003 esse processo complexo que envolve a sua implementa??o.
