The interruption or reduction of perinatal care can lead to a devastating increase in maternal and neonatal mortality. Objective: To assess the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on prenatal care, delivery care and neonatal outcomes. Method: Observational, analytical, retrospective study, through the review of medical records of parturients and newborns treated at a maternity hospital in the city of Pelotas before the COVID-19 pandemic (year 2019) and during the COVID-19 pandemic (year 2020) about outcomes related to prenatal care, childbirth and newborn care. The data will be analyzed with the SPSS program, the associations will be tested by the t test of Student for numerical outcomes and the chi-square test for categorical outcomes, a p-value |
