| Popis: | The multiculturalist movement that emerged at the end of the last century recognized the society as integrated by different cultural groups in search of recognition, having formulated several proposals to foment their demands. In view of the persistence and even the exacerbation of problems related to discrimination, a new approach has been suggested: interculturalism. The present article thus seeks to reflect on this change of vision: has interculturalism been a failure or constitutes a mere improvement of multiculturalism? O movimento multiculturalista surgido no final do século passado reconhecia a sociedade como integrada por diferentes grupos culturais em busca de reconhecimento, tendo formulado diversas propostas de fomento a suas demandas. Em vista da persistência e até da exacerbação dos problemas relativos à discriminação, uma nova abordagem foi sugerida: o interculturalismo. O presente artigo, assim, busca refletir acerca dessa mudança de visão: o interculturalismo decorreu de um fracasso ou constitui um mero aperfeiçoamento do multiculturalismo? |
