| Popis: | The objective of the paper is to provoke a reflection on the possibilities of contribution of the archives and their professionals in the achievement of the objectives of sustainable development of the United Nations. To seek from the management of archival institutions, to promote actions that foster the achievement of the objectives established by the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN). Thus, contributing to goals such as: public access to information, the efficiency and transparency of institutions, quality education, women's empowerment, among others. The study is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, which adopted bibliographic and documentary research in its procedures. It is expected to provoke a constructive and promising reflection on the role of archives in promoting sustainable development, that is, in the search for a better society.
