The study also had as its purpose the characterization of the students' profile, the description of the educational trajectory and academic performance, as well as the expectations of their insertion in the world of work. The delimited period ranged from 2013 to the first semester of 2018, with a population of 40 tickets and 13 graduates. The qualitative research used data collection techniques in different bibliographic and documentary references, such as: Laws, Decree-Laws, Resolutions, edicts and documents of students' school registration in the sectors of the educational institution. The study used a mixed questionnaire in order to facilitate the gathering of information pertinent to the research objective. After the description, analysis, interpretation and discussion of the data, it is concluded that the quota students who were part of this study, demonstrated overcoming in the face of adversity, presenting a good performance in the course. Esta pesquisa foi realizada no Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais Campus S?o Jo?o Evangelista (IFMG-SJE) com o objetivo de analisar a trajet?ria dos egressos cotistas do curso de Bacharelado em Agronomia do IFMG/SJE ingressantes por meio da Lei n? 12.711 de 2012 (BRASIL, 2012). O estudo teve ainda como prop?sitos, a caracteriza??o do perfil dos estudantes, a descri??o da trajet?ria de forma??o e do desempenho acad?mico, al?m das expectativas de inser??o no mundo do trabalho destes egressos. O per?odo delimitado foi de 2013 at? o primeiro semestre de 2018, sendo a popula??o composta por 40 ingressos e 13 concluintes. A pesquisa de natureza qualitativa utilizou t?cnicas de coletas de dados em distintos referenciais bibliogr?ficos e documentais, como: Leis, Decretos-Leis, Resolu??es, editais e documentos do registro escolar dos alunos nos setores da institui??o de ensino. O estudo fez uso de um question?rio misto de modo a facilitar o levantamento das informa??es pertinentes ao objetivo da pesquisa. Ap?s a descri??o, an?lise, interpreta??o e discuss?o dos dados, conclui-se que os discentes cotistas que fizeram parte deste estudo, demonstraram supera??o frente ?s adversidades, apresentando um bom desempenho no curso.
