The general objective of the research is to analyze the effectiveness of the PNAE as a public policy to promote family farming in Presidente Figueiredo - AM, unfolding in the following specific objectives: to raise the normative acts referring to the role of family farming in public programs and policies that have by object the acquisition of food, describe the process of operationalization of the PNAE as a public policy instrument to encourage family farming, and interpret the impacts of PNAE actions by IFAM on family farming in Presidente Figueiredo from 2018 to 2019. The research has a predominantly qualitative character, being carried out field research, using semi-structured interviews. The methodological procedure of the research work was divided into three phases: the first includes bibliographic and documental research, the second stage had as its object field research and interviews, and the third stage consisted of processing the information obtained in the field through the interviews. The interpretation of data from the interviews took place through discourse analysis, used as an auxiliary tool for interpretation, so that, in the discussion phase, the results found were evaluated, compared, and interpreted in the light of the theoretical framework. Through the analysis carried out, it can be seen that the execution of the PNAE by the IFAM Campus Presidente Figueiredo indirectly encourages farmers to have access to other public policies aimed at this community, and helps in the income of family farmers who participate in the public calls made, which allows family farmers who participated in the public procurement process to improve their production, to grow food that will meet the needs of the school, guaranteeing students the consumption of food that respects the agricultural vocation and local culture, taking into account to the guidelines that guide the execution of the PNAE. A tem??tica da pesquisa versa sobre a agricultura familiar e a utiliza????o do Programa Nacional de Alimenta????o Escolar (PNAE) executado pelo Instituto Federal de Educa????o, Ci??ncia e Tecnologia do Amazonas (IFAM), Campus Presidente Figueiredo, como uma pol??tica p??blica de incentivo aos agricultores familiares de Presidente Figueiredo-AM. O objetivo geral da pesquisa ?? analisar a efetividade do PNAE como pol??tica p??blica de fomento ?? agricultura familiar de Presidente Figueiredo ??? AM, desdobrando-se nos seguintes objetivos espec??ficos: levantar os atos normativos referentes ao protagonismo da agricultura familiar nos programas e pol??ticas p??blicas que tenham por objeto a aquisi????o de alimentos, descrever o processo de operacionaliza????o do PNAE como instrumento de pol??tica p??blica de incentivo ?? agricultura familiar, e interpretar os impactos das a????es do PNAE pelo IFAM na agricultura familiar de Presidente Figueiredo no per??odo de 2018 a 2019. A pesquisa possui car??ter predominantemente qualitativo, sendo realizada a pesquisa de campo, com a utiliza????o de entrevista semiestruturada. O procedimento metodol??gico do trabalho de pesquisa foi dividido em tr??s fases: a primeira engloba a pesquisa bibliogr??fica e documental; a segunda etapa teve por objeto a pesquisa de campo e a realiza????o de entrevistas; e a terceira etapa consistiu no tratamento das informa????es obtidas em campo atrav??s das entrevistas realizadas. A interpreta????o dos dados das entrevistas deu-se por meio da an??lise do discurso, utilizada como ferramenta auxiliar de interpreta????o, para que, na fase da discuss??o, os resultados encontrados fossem avaliados, comparados e interpretados sob a luz do referencial te??rico. Atrav??s da an??lise realizada, percebe-se que a execu????o do PNAE pelo IFAM Campus Presidente Figueiredo estimula, indiretamente, que os agricultores tenham acesso a outras pol??ticas p??blicas voltadas a esta coletividade, e auxilia na renda dos agricultores familiares que participam das chamadas p??blicas realizadas, o que permite que os agricultores familiares que participaram do processo de compras p??blicas aperfei??oem a sua produ????o, de maneira a cultivar alimentos que venham a atender ??s necessidades da escola, garantindo aos alunos o consumo de alimentos que respeitam a voca????o agr??cola e cultura local, atendendo as diretrizes que orientam a execu????o do PNAE.
