Popis: | Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias y Forestales. Maestría en Producción Agropecuaria In Mexico, Pinus oocarpa Schiede ex Schltdl, is a specie of economic interest because of high quality and oleoresin production. In the pines, the oleoresin is produced and stored in a system of vertical and horizontal lines in the phloem and xylem of the tree, as a primary defense against bark beetles, fungi associated and mechanical damage, oleoresin consists of a viscous mixture of terpenes, monoterpenes volatile (C10), sesquiterpenes (C15) (turpentine) and nonvolatile diterpenes (C20) (rosin), which are a valuable natural source of raw material for the chemical industry. Tree selection was made by their high yield production, known by the resin producer in years before this study. The sites where the trees selected are growing were analyzed retrospectively. The results showed that resin yield production is affected by climate and soil conditions, and tends to increase with increasing trunk diameter at breast height (1.30 m). In the evaluation period, from January to May 2012, an average production of resin / tree, 10.67 kg, higher than the national average (2.5 kg tree-1 yr-1) for P.oocarpa. In seedlings of 18 months old, originating from individuals P.oocarpa identified as high yielders, two miniature-chipping methods were evaluated. The seeds were sown directly into plastic containers; seedlings were placed in random blocks with four trees as experimental unit and two treatments. In resin production get significant differences between treatments (P |
