The experimental work has as aim to evaluate agro-enconomic yield of ‘Amarela de Carandaí’ Peruvian carrot that were cultivated in soil covered with different doses of chicken manure and with different number of hills. Treatments were arranged as 4 x 3 factorial scheme, in randomized block experimental design with five replications, where four doses of semi-decomposed chicken manure (0; 5; 10; 15 t ha-1) as soil covering and three hills, which were zero, one (on 45 days after planting – DAP) and two (45 and 75 DAP) hills, were applied. Two harvests were done, on 212 and 228 DAP, in order to optimize results. The highest fresh weight of leaves (6.99 t ha-1) was reached on 212 DAP, with the addition of 13.36 t ha-1 of chicken manure, and dry weight was 1.08 t ha-1 with 12.23 t ha-1 of chicken manure. The highest values of fresh and dry weight of shoots was on 228 DAP, in which fresh weight (9.12 t ha-1) was obtained with 15 t ha-1 with chicken manure and one hill, and dry weight (1.36 t ha-1) with 8.20 t ha-1 of chicken manure and without the use of hilling. The maximum of fresh (4.92 t ha-1) and dry (0.98 t ha-1) crowns of Peruvian carrot plants were reached on 212 DAP, in treatment with 15 t ha-1 of chicken manure and two hills. The highest fresh weight of commercial roots was 15.15 t ha-1 in plants under treatment with 11.50 t ha-1 of chicken manure and harvest done on 212 DAP, and 20.95 t ha-1 in plants cultivated in soil coverd with 6.61 t ha-1 of chicken manure and without the use of hill on 228 DAP. The cultivation of ‘Amarela de Carandaí’ Peruvian carrot that was cultivated in soil with 5 t ha-1 of chicken manure as covering and with one hill, on 228 DAP, has the greatest yield of commercial roots (20.78 t ha-1), with gross income of R$ 62,340.00 and net income of R$ 55,047.17, which was superior in R$ 27,503.00 than the smallest net income that was obtained with plats cultivated in soil without covering with chicken manure and without hilling. It was concluded that, in order to obtain the greatest net income, the cultivation of Peruvian carrot must be done in soil covered with 5 t ha-1 of chicken manure, one hill and harvest on 228 DAP. |
