The research problem is based on the analysis of how the gender inequalities were structured in the Rheingantz factory and consolidated in the memories of women workers (and men workers) and entrepreneurs of the company. Therefore, the time frame comprises different Brazilian and local conjuncture moments from 1920 to 1968, in order to observe how social and economic changes impacted the experiences of women in the world of work. The hybrid exploration with documentary and oral sources provided a more in-depth look at the background of the women workers, with oral interviews with women (and men) employees and entrepreneurs as well as documents from the Rheingantz industry administrative sector. In addition, for us visualize how gender inequalities were expressed in the labor movement, it was studied commercial and working-class newspapers (such as A Luta, O tempo and Nosso Verbo) and the archive of Sociedade União Fabril. In this sense, I discussed how the discourses justifying the sexual division of labor were appropriated and re-signified by the subjects who composed the workforce and the direction of the company, as well as the forms that the working class acted in his/her contrary position to the forms of domination.
