The role of the refereeing team is to conduct a match and legitimize the result, and that means its main performance. A systematic review was done, searching registers of scientific validated evaluations of soccer refereeing performance. 36 papers were found, discussing about, physiological (75), psychological (13,9 %), standards and guidelines (8,3 %) aspects. Only one paper (2,8 %) about refereeing main performance, and just commented how it would be necessary. As very few references were found, denoting a knowledge gap to be filled out, in this study, an assessment instrument developed and applied by a soccer’s state administration institution was submitted to the procedures and scientific validation criteria presented and proposed by Rasch (1971 ), Pinto (1977), Thomas, Nelson and Silverman (2012) and Morrow et al. (2016). All of them were satisfactorily met, conferring scientific validity to this instrument. The most important criterions; face validity, that got a 100% agreement index, and reliability and reproducibility criterions got a Kappa coefficient of 0,355 (p < 0.05) and a Concordance coefficient of 0,938 (p |
