Patrimonial and tourism education in the memorial places: the case of the municipality of Resende-RJ

The economic devaluation and the abandonment of these architectural structures and historical monuments are maximized with the undirected growth spurt experienced by the city in the last quarter of the 20th Century, when it became an important industrial center in the State of Rio de Janeiro, with attending increase in population, local real estate growth, lack of information regarding the city's cultural space, and the extreme valuation of contemporary global culture, particularly among the young. Thus, this dissertation intends to present a discussion regarding Tourism Education in cities which have tourism as one of their social and economic activities, as well as their correlation with Patrimonial Education, in the case of historical cities or cities with historical remains, as is the case with Resende/RJ, represented by its historical center. The research is characterized by bibliographc, exploratory, descriptive and qualitative efforts, making use of semi-strucured interviews with actors involved in the themes, and structured interviews, with open and closed questions, with residents of the surroundings of the historical center of Resende. The study on Patrimonial and Tourism Education is marked by its social relevance for producing a permanent dialog about the municipalty's historical, cultural, economic, environmental, political, social and educational perspectives. As a result, it was noted that the local population as well as tourists need to be sensibilized through educational actions based on local tourism planning, in order to make them aware and to conserve the municipalty's cultural property. Furthermore, the existence of legal documents regarding planning which link the areas of Education, Patrimony and Tourism, as well as projects relating to these themes. However, there isn't an effective methodology for implementation of the principles extant in the legal documents, and the projects, due to lack of educational efforts as well as discontinuity in execution, have not achieved all desired objectives. O rico patrim?nio cultural resendense, constru?do como heran?a da cultura cafeeira, nos per?odos colonial e Imperial do Brasil, resistiu ao tempo, mas sofre hodiernamente com risco de se perder, tanto no espa?o quanto na mem?ria da popula??o do munic?pio. A desvaloriza??o econ?mica e o abandono dessas estruturas arquitet?nicas e monumentos hist?ricos s?o maximizados com o crescimento n?o planejado, pelo qual passou a cidade no ?ltimo quartil do s?culo XX, quando se tornou importante polo industrial do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, com aumento populacional, crescimento imobili?rio local, ? desinforma??o sobre o espa?o cultural da cidade e a valoriza??o acentuada da cultura global contempor?nea, principalmente, pelos mais jovens. Assim, a presente disserta??o pretende apresentar uma discuss?o acerca da Educa??o Tur?stica em cidades que t?m o turismo como uma de suas atividades econ?micas e sociais, bem como sua correla??o com a Educa??o Patrimonial, no caso de cidades hist?ricas ou com remanescentes hist?ricos, como ? o caso de Resende/RJ, representado por seu Centro Hist?rico. A pesquisa se caracteriza como: bibliogr?fica, explorat?ria, descritiva e qualitativa, servindo-se de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com agentes envolvidos com a tem?tica, e entrevistas estruturadas, com perguntas abertas e fechadas, com moradores do entorno do Centro Hist?rico de Resende. O estudo sobre a Educa??o Patrimonial e a Tur?stica se destaca pela sua relev?ncia social para a produ??o de um di?logo permanente nas perspectivas hist?ricas, culturais, econ?micas, ambientais, pol?ticas, sociais e educacionais do munic?pio. Como resultado, percebeu-se que a popula??o local e de turistas, precisa ser sensibilizada por meio de a??es educacionais, com base no planejamento tur?stico local, para a conscientiza??o da popula??o e a conserva??o dos bens culturais do munic?pio. Notou-se ainda, a exist?ncia de diplomas legais de planejamento que conjugam a ?rea de Educa??o, Patrim?nio e Turismo, bem como projetos relacionados ? tem?tica. No entanto, n?o h? uma efetividade na implanta??o dos princ?pios presentes nos diplomas legais, e os projetos, em fun??o de pouco esclarecimento e descontinuidade em sua execu??o, n?o v?m atingindo todos os objetivos aspirados. |
