Evaluation of group professional guidance in high school seniors, focusing on maturity and vocational indecision

In order to do this, it was sought to observe whether there is a correlation between those two constructs (maturity and indecision) and socio-demographic variables (gender, type of school, professional experience, psychotherapy); to carry out the comparison between the experimental and control groups; to compare the results measured in different times of the investigation. The sample consisted of 78 students from the third year of high school from three different schools in the city of Serop?dica - RJ, which were divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group attended professional orientation intervention meetings for eight weeks. All students had answered a socio-demographic questionnaire, the Professional Choice Maturity Scale - EMEP and the Vocational Indecision Scale - EIV, before and after the intervention period. The results ofretest showed that the experimental group had increased their level of maturity and had reduced their level of indecision, when compared to the control group, in the same time period, indicating that the participation in the meetings of professional orientation helped the process of professional orientation in the end from highschool. Thus, the hypothesis raised at the beginning of the research was corroborated. Esse estudo longitudinal, de car?ter experimental e delineamento correlacional objetivou avaliar a influ?ncia de um processo de orienta??o profissional - OP em grupo sobre a maturidade vocacional e na indecis?o para escolha profissional de estudantes. Para tal, buscou-se: observar se h? correla??o entre os dois construtos (maturidade e indecis?o) e vari?veis s?cio-demogr?ficas (sexo, tipo de escola, experi?ncia profissional, psicoterapia); realizar a compara??o entre o grupo experimental e controle; comparar os resultados mensurados nos diferentes momentos da investiga??o. A amostra foi composta por 78 estudantes do terceiro ano do ensino m?dio de tr?s escolas distintas do Munic?pio de Serop?dica ? RJ, que foram divididos em grupo controle e grupo experimental. O grupo experimental frequentou durante oito semanas encontros de interven??o de OP. Todos os alunos responderam a um question?rio s?cio-demogr?fico, a Escala de Maturidade para Escolha profissional ? EMEP e a Escala de Indecis?o Vocacional ? EIV, antes e depois do per?odo da interven??o. Os resultados identificados na retestagem mostraram que o grupo experimental aumentou seu n?vel de maturidade e reduziu seu n?vel de indecis?o, quando comparados ao grupo controle, no mesmo espa?o de tempo, indicando que a participa??o nos encontros de OP auxiliaram o processo de orienta??o profissional no final do ensino m?dio. Sendo assim corroborada a hip?tese levantada no in?cio da pesquisa. |
