Yüksek Lisans Tezi Bu tezin amacı, Soğuk Savaş döneminde sıkça karşılaşılan nükleer silahlanma olgusunun, Ronald Reagan dönemi ile birlikte sertleşen Amerikan dış politikasını nasıl etkilediğinin analiz edilmesidir. Aynı zamanda Soğuk Savaş'ın son dönemlerinde başkanlık koltuğuna oturan ve ABD'nin dış politikasında önemli değişiklikler yapan Ronald Reagan dönemi irdelenmektedir. Bu çalışmada, uluslararası sistem açısından değerlendirildiğinde Soğuk Savaş döneminin son on yılına denk geldiğini söyleyebileceğimiz tarihsel çerçeve içerisindeki temel parametreler değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma ayrıca kişi analizi niteliği de taşımaktadır. Bu yıllar içerisinde ABD'nin dış politikasına yön vermiş olan Ronald Reagan'ın dönem sürecindeki dış politika tutum ve davranışları incelenmiştir. Yine çalışmada Soğuk Savaş dönemi yıllarının temel olgularından biri olan nükleer silahlanma olgusunun Ronald Reagan dönemi olarak adlandırdığımız bu dönem çerçevesinde ABD dış politikasına olan etkileri irdelenmiştir. Abstract The aim of the thesis is to analyze how nuclear armament case influenced the foreign policy of the United States that became stricter during Ronald Reagan era. In addition, the era of Ronald Reagan who took the chair as president in the recent period of the Cold War and made essential changes in the foreign policy of the United States is studied within the scope of the thesis. Within the study, basic parameters belonging to the last ten years of the Cold War when considered in the context of international system are evaluated in historical frame. The study also has the characteristics of a person analysis. The foreign policy and attitudes during the era of Ronald Reagan, who altered the United States foreign policy considerably during those years, are examined. Furthermore, the effects of nuclear armament, one of the base cases of the Cold War, on the foreign policy of the United States within the framework of the period called Ronald Reagan era are analyzed in this study. |
