Popis:	The new information given in the article do cum en tally corroborates Shechtel's non-participation in transformation and decoration of the mansion of Balakovo's rich merchant P.M. Maltsev. The discovered advertisement showed that the decorative painting in mansion's luxurious interiors was August Tomashki's work, an outstanding Moscow master of the end of the XIX the beginning of XX century. Besides it specifies the date of decoration of mansion.
