One of the aspects of the Soviet church policy the changing of the legal status of church according to the Decree of January, 20th, 1918, blasting its organizational unity is being examined on a material of archive documents of Penza diocese. The peculiarity of interaction between the Church and the Penza region authorities during the time when the Decree"s statements were being into action professed by the obnovlenchestvo movement led by Vladimir Putjata is laid into the basis of the given research. Thereupon the influence of obnovlentsy on the destruction of structural unity at the level of the central management by the Penza diocese and parish as the basic church unit is revealed. |
