This research; Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing students' surgical diseases nursing course was conducted in accordance with descriptive research design in order to determine the views on clinical teaching. The universe of the research was 201 students who took Surgical Disease Nursing course in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 education period and 151 students were sample. The data collection form consists of three parts. In the first part, introductory features and opinions about clinical teaching, in the second part, perioperative nursing observations and practices of the patient who underwent surgery, in the third part, there are Clinical Learning Environment Scale. The data of the study was collected by the researcher in the classroom after obtaining the necessary institutional and ethical committee permissions. SPSS 25.0 program was used for statistical analysis of data. In the study, the mean age of the students was found to be 21.91 ± 1.63. 76.82 of the students were nurses and 70.20% were positive attitudes of clinical teaching staff; 73.51% of the nurses, 69.54% stated that good communication with clinical teaching staff positively affected the clinical practice. The average achievement score of the students regarding the perceived clinical teaching is 7.17 ± 1.98. It was determined that the majority of the students performed all the pre-, intra- and post-operative care applications on the application checklist at the application or observation level. The mean total score of the Clinical Learning Environment Scale of the students was 73,70 ± 10,19.
