| Popis: | The final destination is the same everywhere, or almost everywhere. However, the paths along which the Jews arrived there, here – to nothing – were very different and may be of interest to us for several reasons. The first is that through gaining a more precise knowledge, answering the questions of “Where? When? How?” and making an effort to remember we could somehow, possibly, to some extent give the missing their last rites. And less pathetically, because an unsettled past can easily poson the souls and disorient the consciousness of those who remain, and of the whole of society: the Jewish Question is at the same time always a Hungarian, Lithuanian, Polish or Czech question. |
