Popis: Helena Sinkevič and Jonas Dautaras in their article analyze the issue of interrelationship between the pupils with special needs and other pupils of the class. It was established that the problem of communication between children with special needs and their peers is present in primary classrooms. There are rejected and isolated pupils among those with special needs. Their sociometric status is low. Peers do not want to choose them either for common activity or spending free-time. Reluctance to communicate depends on the level of the disorder of the children with special needs as well as the child's behaviour and age. Reluctance to communicate gradually grows as the child's age increases and becomes an obstacle for the integration into society. Games that were applied in integrated classrooms have positive effect on the integration of the children, they help the peers understand those with special needs better. All children in the class receive positive experience when communicating. When communicating, all children of the class learn to be more sensitive. Joint effort of the parents, pedagogues and other specialists in developing communication skills of all children would contribute to better feeling of all pupils. The results of the pedagogical experiment proved that psychological games have positive effect on the communication between pupils with special needs and their peers and improve their sociometric status.
