Popis: | Šiame straipsnyje aptariamos aukštojo mokslo Klaipėdoje aplinkybės ir lituanistikos aukštųjų studijų raida, etapai. Nušviečiamas aukštojo mokslo augimas Klaipėdoje nuo 1971-ųjų metų, lituanistikos plėtotė Lietuvos konservatorijos Klaipėdos fakultetuose ir tolesnė raida jau įkūrus Klaipėdos universitetą bei suformavus Humanitarinių mokslų fakultetą, jį sudarančių padalinių veikla, mokslinių tyrinėjimų problematika bei studijų programos. Glaustai pristatomi KU Humanitarinių mokslų fakulteto pedagogai ir mokslininkai. Daug dėmesio skiriama vienam iš svarbiausių lituanistikos puoselėtojų Klaipėdoje doc. Antanui Jakuliui, kurio veikla iš esmės lėmė dabartinės lituanistikos bendrąjį vaizdą, kryptį ir pavidalą. The development of higher education in Klaipėda began rather late - in the fourth decade of the XX century even though the Königsburg university was established in 1544 and Vilnius University - in 1579. Intensive university level Lithuanian studies began only in the Soviet times, particulary after 1971 when the Lithuanian Conservatory Klaipėda faculty was founded. It is there that the Lithuanian language and literature department was created and the Lithuanian Philology study program with specializations was started. Both the scientific research and study program models were in essence formed by a long-term Lithuanian language and literature department head Associate Professor Antanas Jakulis whose work also influenced the shape of the present Humanitarian Studies faculty of the Klaipėda University. Jakulis' work was directed both to study programs and research trends as well as the formation and development of scientific-pedagogical faculty. In the Humanitarian Studies faculty major focus was given to research activity from the beginning of the Lithuanian Language and Literature department's existence. This in essence resulted in maturation of the academic faculty. Out of 28 presently-working academics, only 4 came to work in Klaipėda having finished their dissertations. The rest completed academic work on site in Klaipėda while simultaneously engaged in the work of the university. Presently three Lithuanian departments are functioning creatively and purposefully: Literature, Lithuanian Language, and Baltic Linguistics and Ethnography. In addition, Baltic, Slavic and Oriental study centers have been established. Together with the development of Lithuanian Studies in the Humanitarian Studies faculty, linguistic and cultural study and scientific research of English, German, French, Latvian, Scandinavian and other languages also successfully developed. Evangelical theology and library science programs and scientific research naturally go along well with the Lithuanian studies program. The article presents and discusses the three divisions that presently function within the KU Humanitarian Studies faculty as well as the educators and scientists that work there. In summary, the following conclusion is drawn: Lithuanian studies specialists and humanities faculty members perform an important mission: to provide language, art and cultural knowledge and to develop the main human and societal spiritual values |
