Popis: The purpose of the articleis to investigate and analyze the features of choreographic culture of the ethnographic group of Boykos in the context of calendar and family ritualism.The research methodologyconsisted in the principles of objectivity, historicism, multifactorness, systematicity, complexity and pluralism; to fulfill the research purpose, the following methods were used: problem-chronological, concrete-historical, statistical, descriptive, and logical-analytical.Thescientific novelty of the work.The features of Boykos’ folk dances in calendar and family-household ritualism in the context of regional peculiarities were considered; the origins and tendencies of folk dance development based on traditions, customs and rituals were studied; the influence of choreographic culture of the Poles, Slovaks and Hungarians on the formation of dances of Boykivshchyna, their choreographic peculiarities, steps and movements were analyzed.Conclusions.Boykos’ folk dances, reflecting the processes of labor activity (agriculture and cattle breeding), certain elements of ritualism (mythological and religious), and thus the perception of the ethnos, express spiritual and moral foundations, comprehension of the place and purpose of human in the world, which are the basis of their worldview.
