'Knowledge Management' as a Methodological Guide for Searching the Concept of Speciality 'Information, Library and Archival Studies'

Popis: The goal of the work. The research carried out is connected with the search of a concept that would allow to describe the system unity of all the branch-subject components of the specialty "Information, Library and Archival Studies". The methodsused to substantiate the content of the concept of "knowledge management" as enabling aggregation, the search for common in specialties, which in the newly created specialty do not yet have a "metateoria" of vocational training. The scientific noveltyof the research carried out is to identify the possibility of applying the notion of "knowledge management" as a methodological benchmark for constructing the concept of the specialty "Information, Library and Archival Studies". Conclusions.Knowledge management is a structural component of information management and, together with elements such as content management, record management and document management, correspond to the semantic field of activity of a specialist in the field of information activity. Professional tasks of the information specialist cover a wide range of issues related to the integral approach to the creation, accumulation and management of knowledge - both recorded in the form of documents, and those who need to find, identify and formalize.
