The purpose of the article is to carry out a retrospective analysis of Victory Park (Park Peremohy) in the city of Kropyvnytskyi as an object of garden and park art of local significance in the context of the pre-project proposal for its reconstruction; analyse the main stages of its historical transformation and development; to determine the features of the compositional and architectural structure and planning; to summarize recommendations on how to reconstruct it in accordance with the historical value and modern needs of society. The research methodology inter alia includes a number of general scientific methods: the method of documentation, comparative and system analysis, which was used to collect and analyse information from literary sources; the method of classification and factography became the basis for the analysis of various stages of transformation and development of the park; the method of observation, photo recording and description helped to clarify and generalise the current state of Victory Park. Scientific novelty. The retrospective analysis of Victory Park allowed us to establish the most significant stages of the formation and development of its spatial composition and stylistic features during the almost three-hundred-year history of its existence, and proved to be a necessary pre-project measure for its reconstruction and further preservation. The article demonstrates that the history of Victory Park began with the creation of a fruit and vegetable garden in 1764; later it was characterised by alternating periods of prosperity and neglect of the territory, gradually changing in area, purpose and functional zoning in a recreational direction (as evidenced by the compositional and landscape assessment of the territory). Conclusions. The results of the retrospective analysis of Victory Park are a firm foundation for reconstruction works based on a systematic approach (in particular, historical, factor, compositional analysis and field survey) in compliance with the basic principles of landscape design and taking into account the needs of modern society. |
