Popis: Energy demands vary on daily, weekly and seasonal bases. With rising cost of energy and an increasing demand for renewable energy sources, thermal energy storage TES systems are becoming an interesting option. TES is a key component of any successful thermal system and a good TES should allow minimum thermal energy losses. Thermal energy storage is considered advanced energy technology, and there has been an increasing interest in using this essential technique for the thermal applications such as heating, hot water, air conditioning, and so on. The selection of the TES systems mainly depends on the storage period required i.e. ., diurnal or seasonal. Economic viability, operating conditions, and the like. In practice, many research and development activities related to energy have been concentrated on efficient energy use and energy savings, leading to energy conservation. Paraffin waxes are cheap and have moderate thermal energy storage density but low thermal conductivity and, hence, require a large surface area. Thermal storage has been characterized as a kind of thermal battery. So this paper emphasized on the capability of thermal energy storage system and its viability.
