Hemorrhagic cystitis (HC) is a common complication after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. We conduct a retrospective study among 435 patients transplanted between 1990 to 2006 to investigate clinical characteristics, treatment, outcome and risk factors for HC. This complication develops in 75 patients (17,2 %). CH begins a median of 24 days (range, 0-780) after transplantation and last a median of 30 days (range, 2-180). Significant risk factors for HC by univariate analysis include high risk disease (p=0,04), use of cyclophosphamide and busulfan (p |
