Popis: Introduction: The number of emergency visits is increasing steadily. The aim of this study was to qualify patient older than 18 years who go to the emergency department on their own and without contact a physician while medical office is open. Method : This was a descriptive, prospective, epidemiological and monocentric study realised in spring 2016 in the emergency department of the Centre hospitalier Métropole Savoie by using a questionnaire. Results : 247 questionnaires have been analysed. The spontaneous consulting population has a 56% majority participation. The average age was 45 years with a sex ratio of 1,57. 71% lived within 20 minutes of the hospital. 62% consulted for the first time. The two main reasons were the pain (37%) and the accidents (28%).
