Wydrukowano z dostarczonych Wydawnictwu UŁ gotowych materiałów The article is intended to test if demand-pull determinants had an impact on inflation in Poland in the period 1989-2003. The paper is composed of four parts. The first part contains a brief discussion of the influence of various economic factors on inflation. Part two presents a detailed analysis of statistical data concerning GDP and its components in Poland in the period of transformation. The main part of the article is contained in the third point, in which the approximate estimate of inflationary gap and potential national income in Poland was presented. The summary and conclusions are formulated in the last part. In addition to this, the author points to the years, in which the demand-pull factors played crucial role in the process of inflation.
