Mangrove are repositories of immense biological diversity and are also the nursery and breeding ground of several marine life forms, such as species of prawns, crabs, fishes and mollusks. For Rehabilitation and add of mangrove conservation area, Tarakan Government bought 12 ha of breakiswater pond. The aims of this research is to description of mangrove forest. The dominant mangrove species in this area is Sonneratia alba and Avicennia alba with index important value 188.86 � 232.24 % dan 67.76 � 94.03 %. |
