Research on the biodiverity of the potential local herbs has been conducted in Sembilan Island, North Sinjai, South Sulawesi. This inventory study aims at optimizing potential use of local herbs with medicinal properties for local people. Samples were collected using explorative survey method. A total number or 105 plant species from 15 familia were identified. Of these species, Lanneacoro mandelica (Houtt) Merr (Anacardiaceae), Phyllanthus reticulantus Poir (Euporbiaceae), dan Lantana camara L. (Verbenaceae) were found to the cosmopolitan herbs growing in the Sembilan Island. |
