Popis: The research about the effect of Cu2+ addition toward chlorophyll productivity and potency of hydrogen by phytoplankton Chlorella vulgaris been done. It used sea water that was added by Conwy medium and vitamin as culture media on the phytoplankton test. Exposure of Cu2+ was conducted in culture media whose concentration were 0,0; 0,1; 0,2; 0,3; 0,4; 0,6; 0,8; 1,0; 1,5 and 2,0 ppm in order to increase the growth rate of phytoplankton. Total dry biomass of phytoplankton was extract educing acetone p.a. Analysis method was carried out by the sonification extraction for short and cheap in the lysis cell of phytoplankton and spectrophotometer UV/Vis to determine chlorophyll concentration through the Richards and Thompson equation. The result indicated that maximum tolerance concentration of Cu2+ by phytoplankton Chlorella vulgaris is 0,8 ppm, the most of total chlorophyll is 1.087.429 ??g/mL and potency of hydrogen produce is 2.263,0 L/kg DW from the dry biomass 6,314 g.
