This research entitled " Effect of Vermicompost on growth of Capsicum annuum Chilli Red Big L. " . Is aimed to determine the effect of vermicompost on the growth of vegetative big red chili . Planting medium used is consisted of soil and vermicompost . Vermicompost derived from the cultivation of earthworms Lumbricus rubellus . Large red chilli seeds purchased from the farm shop . Large red chilli seeds germinated in vermicompost mixed soil and covered with clear plastic . This study is an experiment with completely randomized design, four treatments and three replications . P0 is the control treatment ( 10 kg soil without giving vermicompost ) ; P1 ( giving 1 kg of vermicompost and soil 10 kg ) ; P2 ( giving 0.5 kg of vermicompost and soil 10 kg ) and P3 ( 0.25 kg vermicompost administration and land 10 kg ) .Observations were made once a week for 12 weeks . Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by BNT test . The results showed that administration of vermicompost on growing media gave significant effect on the growth of plant height , leaf number , leaf area , and the number of the branch of the plants , whereas the diameter of the trunk does not give a real effect . Provision of planting medium between the ground and vermicompost on P1 treatment (administration of 1 kg of vermicompost and soil 10 kg) resulted in the highest vegetative growth . |
